Homemade Italian Sausage that you know just what is in it!

When we were able to get half of a pig for our freezer, I had to figure out how to use all of that wonderful meat! Homemade Italian Sausage was a great thing to do with the ground pork! It is easy to do ahead too, and put in the freezer to use later for Egg and Potato Mix-up, Breakfast Burritos, or Easy Egg and Potato Casserole. When the meat is cooked and ready to go, those recipes and many others, are so quick and easy! And who doesn’t like a quick and easy meal? I know I do!

1.5 pounds ground pork

2 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika

1 tsp Italian seasoning blend

1 tsp dried parsley

½ garlic powder

½ tsp dried onion powder



Combine all of the seasonings in a small bowl and mix well.

Add the seasoning mix to the pork and mix thoroughly. This is easiest with your hands.

Cover and let sit in the refrigerator for 3-5 days to blend the flavors.

Cook in a skillet on medium high heat until well browned and cooked through.

Serve immediately or cool completely and freeze for later use.
