Easy Homemade Chili

This Easy Homemade Chili is our favorite chili EVER!

Doesn’t a hot bowl of chili hit the spot on a cold day?  This easy homemade chili recipe is my family’s favorite.  We like kidney beans but when that is the only bean in there, it is a bit much.  I spread them out a bit by adding Great Northern Beans, a nice mild white bean.  This is an easy recipe, especially if you have your meat cooked ahead of time.  Just open cans, dump it all in a big pot and let it simmer for an hour or so.  This recipe makes a lot so you have some to can or put in the freezer for later.  Easy Homemade Chili is wonderful to have ready to go in the freezer! It can also be pressure canned; process pints 1 hour and quarts 1 hour, 15 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.

We like ours over rice and under shredded cheddar cheese.  Yum!  It is also excellent served with Amazing Cornbread.  Double Yum!

I love this electric skillet for cooking my ground beef.  I can cook 5 pounds at a time. You will see it all through my posts because I use it all the time!

When I have so many cans to open, I am happy to have my Oxo hand held can opener. Even with my carpal tunnel/fibromyalgia hands, they open easily.
