Homemade Ranch Dressing is an 8 ingredient gluten free dry mix to make ahead for dressing, dip or to add to any recipe that calls for a packet of ranch!

I love to have Homemade Ranch Dressing mix made up to make dressing or dip.

It is also great to add to recipes and I know exactly what is in it. I know there is nothing but basic herbs, spices and vegetables. That makes me feel good!

This is made up of staple ingredients that I always have on hand to it is easy to mix up any time.

I don’t think I have to convince you that it is healthier to make your own mixes with basic ingredients but if you are watching your carbs, there is another reason–a big one.

Ingredients for Dry Mix

Ingredients for Dry Homemade ranch dressing Mix

dried minced onions

parsley flakes

black pepper

tsp salt

dill weed

onion powder

garlic powder

paprika

Mix all dry ingredients together well and store at room temperature in an air tight jar.

Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix

To make Dressing:

Mix 2 Tbsp of dry mix with 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup buttermilk or sour cream. If mixture is thicker than you like, add water a few drops at a time to thin it some.

To make Dip:

Mix 2 Tbsp of dry mix with 2 cups of sour cream. Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight to blend flavors well.

To use in a recipe that calls for a packet of ranch dressing:

Use 2 Tbsp of dry mix as you would a packet

Yield: 7 Tbsp

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp dried minced onions
  • 2 Tbsp parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika

Instructions

Mix all dry ingredients together well and store at room temperature in an air tight jar.
