These Cheesy Potato Rounds are a nice easy side dish to pull together. Just slice up some potatoes and onion, layer into a dish with cheese, bake and there you have it!

Can These Be Frozen
It is not recommended to freeze these. Potatoes change in consistency that is not desirable to most people. That said, it doesn’t spoil them to freeze it. If you don’t mind that, go for it.
How to Store Leftover Cheesy Potato Rounds
If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
The Onion
If you really don’t like onion, you could leave it out. It does give good flavor to the dish though.
If you don’t have a real onion or don’t want big pieces in your dish, you could add 1/8 teaspoon of onion powder with the other spices.

Onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
Butter or margarine, melted
Cheddar cheese
How to Make Cheesy Potato Rounds
Peel and thinly slice potatoes and onion.
Place half of the potatoes in a greased 7X11 (2 quart) baking dish.

Top with onion and remaining potatoes.

Drizzle with butter.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Combine salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Sprinkle spices over cheese.

Bake, uncovered, at 450* for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown and tender.
