Cheesy Low Carb Cabbage: 5 basic ingredients will quickly make a low carb, gluten free side dish everyone will love!
A good side dish can really make or break a meal. This one makes it! Cheesy Low Carb Cabbage is simple to put together and great with beef or chicken.
We especially like it with Crock Pot Garlic Herb Chicken or Freezer Crock Pot Beef Roast. It really dresses up any plain meat dish.
This is easily doubled by using a whole head of cabbage, doubling the rest of the ingredients and using a 9 x 13 baking dish. The directions and cooking time will stay the same.

Can you use frozen cabbage instead of fresh? Thank you

Hi Aileen! I have not used frozen cabbage before but I think you could. I would say to thaw it first and drain it well and you would not need to saute it as long as the fresh cabbage since it has been frozen. Also, a pound of frozen may be less bulk than fresh so you may need less sour cream and cheese when you are building the casserole. I would just add an amount that looks good. Let me know if you try it! I am sure it would taste good! :)
